We chose his venue because it’s packed full of history. In fact, in one corner of this room there’s an old underground escape passage that can take you right out of the castle and far away. It's true! If you're wondering which corner, it's the one Linda was repeatedly glancing at during the ceremony. -

For Linda, getting married in a castle represents everything she hopes for in our marriage: tradition, security, romance. Whereas it reminds me of the things I expect from our marriage: constant conflict, uncivilised behaviour and some pretty brutal interrogation techniques.
